MR and MRS G

MR & MRS G 10th July 2021

This was the wedding of my dreams and nightmares! Booked via facetime in 2020, it really was lovely to spend an hour chatting away on a balmy evening confined to my tiny garden. But this is how it was last year, zoom, facetime and emails. We talked about the feel of the day and about how important the colour theme was so bring this blend of Scottish and Indian fusion wedding together. I was so thrilled to finally meet Rebecca in April of this year.

Upon our final planning meeting at the venue, I nearly stuffed it all up by taking a bored 8-year-old with me! In my wisdom I bought Hetty a giant helium unicorn balloon BRILLIANT should get at least an hour of uninterrupted time with Rebecca, but no mid convo 5 minutes in about table set ups and I feel a little hand pulling on my shirt and tiny whisper of ‘mum, mum’! What now! As I whiz round to see what the issue is this time, she looks me dead in the eye and holds up the balloon cord and utters oooopppssss. NOOOO the unicorn is up in the eves. At this point I am pretty sure I am about to escorted off site and banned from the building and never to floral up this wedding day! We decided to not say anything and it became a funny tale over the next few days, until that was the venue posted a picture declaring that in there 663 years of illustrious history never had they had to rescue a unicorn. It just so happens that is there most like grid post so maybe we did them a favour.

Rebecca and Jas went on to have a wonderful wedding and the flowers really shone, almost as bright at the unicorn.
